The stockings were hung by the chimney with care...

I guess I can't really fault her for thinking that you would wear it on her foot. We do call them "stockings" after all. (She was so very proud.)

Nativity in the Glen

Just a block up from our home is the Bonneville Glen, a charming creekside walking trail with an open-air amphitheater and fireplace. Every December our church, along with others community, put together a spectacular live nativity in the Glen. The pathway is lit with paper lumens and torches, choirs sing, and the wisemen gather around the baby Jesus in a humble stable lit by a glowing Christmas star. Amelia loves the animals - a camel, goats, sheep, ducks, and chickens. David loves the hot chocolate. Teishi loves being there with her family. Merry Christmas!

Amanda Jane

Our dear little friend, Amanda, has been in the hospital for some time now. We continue to pray and the doctors continue to search. To pass the time, we visit and look at Disney photos, cruise the halls of the hospital in a red wagon, eat ice cream cones from the cafeteria, put together puzzles, watch Amanda's favorite movies, and paint pretty pink fingernails. Of course, all of this is fun, but we really want Amanda back home. She'll get there; she's amazing!

Oh Christmas Tree

The day ofter Thanksgiving we picked out a lovely Christmas tree, with Amelia's help, of course. Sadly, her mother is way too much of a control freak to let her help decorate. What are we going to do when she starts bringing home handmade ornaments??? Maybe we'll get two trees then - one for mommy's vision of a color-coordinating holiday and one for Ameila's creations. Problem solved!
