Oooo, Barbie!

Maybe only my mother and I will understand the monumental significance of this post, and if that is the case I'm totally okay with that.  For those of you who are scratching their heads and wondering what on earth has warranted a third blog posting in one day, let me explain...

Teishi was a darling young child with only one wish.  (Ha!  Already the story begins with a lie.)  At any rate, one of her "please mommy, I have to have it" wishes was always to have one of those Barbie-sized for-display-only camping tents and sleeping bags you see make an appearance in stores as the weather warms up.  Yes, you girls know exactly what I'm talking about.  And you can't tell me that your Barbies weren't secretly planning a camping trip, too.  Well, my Barbies planned and planned, but never acquired the required outdoor gear for a proper night out under the stars.  Alas, as our fair Teishi grew into adulthood, her dream began to fade until one day - one fateful day - when she stumbled upon a colorful, cardboard end cap at her local box store... "Coleman DreamMate Mini Sleeping Bag".  WHAT?!?!  The dream is within reach for a meager $8.99?  Make way!  I'm headed to the register!  And so fair reader, Teishi's darling daughter will grow up in a world that her mother could only dream of as a youngster.  A world where all is right, where mini sleeping bags are widely available, and where Barbie can sleep safe and sound under the stars (and the sprinklers, if the automatic timer is set).  The end.

You know how Rob feels about camping. Gracey will have to come and play at the Kennedy's to experience Barbie camping! I am so glad your wish has come true:)

Teishi - I am so glad to know there were other girls coveting the tent displays as well. I will have you know that Katie has surpassed me as well with this specific Barbie accessory. She has a Barbie sleeping bag AND tent, that matches her own sleeping bag. Kids these days...they don't know how good they have it...

I do have to say that the pics did strike my curiosity due to them being completely random. That is the funniest thing ever. I still to this day want one of those just to have it. I was never smart enough to have thought of an actual purpose for it like camping barbie. I just thought they were so darn cute. I am also one that would purchase the mini condiments at the grocery store because I am a just a sucker for all miniature creations.
